The International Police Association, Spain section, will participate in the USEC Bilbao Congress 2022, to be held at the Euskalduna Palace on May 25 and 26.
The president of the Professional Section of IPA Spain and Intendant of the Ertzaintza, José Antonio Varela, conveyed the news to the organizing committee of the event.
Thanks to this agreement, all professionals associated with IPA at the international level will benefit from 100% sponsored tickets. Both to the congress halls and to the adjacent industry exhibition area.
The International Police Association, IPA, was born in the United Kingdom on the initiative of police sergeant Arthur Troop, back in 1950.
With the motto "Servo per Amikeco", which translated from Esperanto means "Service through friendship", it has become the largest non-political, non-denominational police association in the world.
It is an independent community, formed by members of different police services, both active and retired, without distinction of rank, ideology, sex, race, language or religion.
To be a member of the police force of a democratic country is all that is required, which is why it took so long for it to be implemented in Spain as a whole.
It is present in the 5 continents and has more than 372,000 members. IPA Spain has close to 12,000 members among the members of the different police forces in the country.
Together with the already announced support of the Department of Security of the Basque Government, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the City Council of Bilbao, this congress initiative, exclusive and unique in its format, is born with maximum strength and institutional and associative support, in which professionals, policy makers and the industry, from the targeted sectors, will share a space at a directive level with power of decision and prescription.

The congress will address three main and converging thematic areas: Safety, Emergencies and Mobility, and will offer enriching information and useful and applicable knowledge, answers to various research, theoretical and practical, doctrinal and even jurisprudential concerns, of immediate topicality and with foresight for the future.
Conferences, transversal round tables, interviews, associative days and technical-operational talks will be offered by and for managers, directors and other actors with decision-making and prescriptive power in the sectors involved.
